Problem accessing Mantis using Google's Chrome browser

Post by olegos »

I'm having problems accessing Mantis on mantisbt.org using Chrome. Is this due to this server, or the version of Mantis? I have no problems with Chrome and Mantis 1.0.8 or 1.1.3 on my own server. Can others with their own Mantis 1.2.x installations access them with Chrome?

Going to http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/, Chrome gets "Error 320 (net::ERR_INVALID_RESPONSE): Unknown error." However, http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/view_all_bug_page.php loads fine. But can't login. Can't change filter.

We're heavily using Google Apps (webmail, docs, spreadsheets, presentations, calendar, etc.) and I've been encouraging my co-workers to use Chrome, since it's so fast with those apps. Should I stay away from 1.2.x if I want my Mantis to work with Chrome? (I've been thinking about going to 1.2 for all the Postgres fixes.)

Thanks.

I just tried it now and it seems to be working. I used http://www.mantisbt.org/bugs/ and it worked fine. I was already logged in, so I logged out and logged in again, no problem. Did some browsing around and filtering, no issues.

I tried it at home, and it worked. Now back at work, and still doesn't work, same error (Windows XP both at home and at work, both PCs have been rebooted multiple times). I've been using Chrome a lot, and haven't had this problem anywhere else, and I can access Mantis 1.0.8 on my own server. The error happens in incognito window too. Just clicking on the "Bug Tracker" link on Mantis home page brings up the error. Any ideas what could be causing this? Do you see any errors in the web server logs?

OK, I figured it out. The problem was some weird incompatibility between Chrome and Kaspersky Anti-Virus, the Web Anti-Virus feature. Changing Kaspersky settings as described here fixed it for me. (I have a different Anti-Virus at home.) Mantis has nothing to do with it (and I found other people complaining about this problem with other sites in Chrome forums). Sorry for bringing it up here.
