Start with Mantis

Hello!

I try to use Mantis and have some questions, sorry, but my English is not very good

I install Mantis and login as default use Administrator with password 'root'. After what I try to create my account with administrator permissions. But I couldn't setup password for my new account. According Mantis user manual the password of new user should be blank. But I couldn't login by created user name and blank password - the error 'Your account may be disabled or blocked or the username/password you entered is incorrect.' occurs.
How I can create and login new user?

Have you found the "Reseting Admin Password" forum posting at:

The spelling error of Resetting may have made it hard to find but it looks like that might be an answer for you.

Personally, I decided to use Instant Mantis http://wiki.mantisbt.org/doku.php/manti ... tantmantis when first experimenting. Instant Mantis provides a playground on a Windows workstation where it is OK to make mistakes... because you can re-install from scratch quickly when it gets screwed up.

Once you've played enough to have an understanding of the basic Administrative features and workflow in Instant Mantis, you can do battle with configuring the server of a regular Mantis installation with more confidence.
