Install script problems oo it does nothing

I ran the Mantis Install script, but nothing happened. Just a blank browser window.

My setup is:

Windows XP
PHP 5.0.4
MySQL 4.1.11
(Based on XAMPP 1.4.13)

Any ideas regarding the install problem?
Will Mantis work with PHP5?

I'm running php 5.x on Windows 2000 with no problems. Does php work?
