Hi,
We are using mantisbt for our internal testing. We have some 15-20 testing projects which have been completed, or that has been closed prematurely.
Now when a user logs in, he can see all the projects (even if they are closed) in the list. It happened many a time that bugs are entered in another project by mistake. Is there a way to CLOSE these projects, once it is done with?
Also, the number of records have gone above 6000. Is there any way to keep the database clean and number of records down. If there is no choice, I may have to delete some of the old projects and their records.
Thanks for the wonderful tool MantisBT
How To Manage Projects That Are Completed?

You have the following options:
- Delete the projects that you don't need. This is not recommended unless you are really sure you will never need this information again. Deleting a project will delete all associated issues.
- Mark the closed projects as private (if not already so) and do not give any user access to these projects. This will leave only the administrators with access to these projects. If you are only using the administrator accounts to administer Mantis, and not for day-to-day usage, then effectively no user will see them anymore.
