Custom fields

I just created a custom field with a list of numbers ( 0|1|2|3|4|5|6|7|8|9|10).

When I do an update I can now choose a number. However, when I click "update information" I get an error:

APPLICATION ERROR #1303

Invalid value for field

What's wrong here?

a, got it, should not do anything with the "length".

However now I would like to get this custom field in the summary...is this possible???
