Product Version1.2.0a3
Summary0010203: multiple target and and product versions
Description

We're using mantis for about half a year now and are very satisfied with it. Nevertheless there's one feature we're missing :) Wouldn't it be really interesting to be able to add more than one product version to an issue and also to resolve it in more than one version?

We often have the situation that a bug occurs for a user in eg. v1.1.x. Another user finds exactly the same bug in version v1.2.0a1. Therefore he has to clone the ticket from v1.1.x and change the product version. Also if we fix the same issue (on both sides (applying the same patch on both branches)) we have to close both issues separately. Since I'm working as volunteer on some Apache projects I'm in contact with the commercial bugtracker JIRA (http://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/) where its possible to set multiple product and target versions (and it works fine there :) ).

I'm a java/.net developer and have not too much experience with PHP so won't be able to provide a patch at all :( But nevertheless there may be some people out there who like the idea too and have more skills in PHP than me :)

So WDYT?

I think we are in 2009 now, this feature would be very appreciated...

I'm closing this as a duplicate, but even if you can't provide a patch it would be very useful, given you can access a jira instance, if you could describe in more details how that feature works and how it relates to other features; for instance, can you make complex filters like: show me all bugs fixed in version A and B but not C ?

Please add your further comments in the parent bug.
