| Summary | 0016234: Server field in AddTaskRepository should help to select SOAP interface | ||||
| Description | I first added a mantis repo by only entering the main URL of our mantis installation. I could than enter a query and clone this query but not add new queries or add new tasks via Mylyn. Than I found a forum post suggesting to add /api/soap/mantisconnect.php to the mantis URL and now it seems that I have full access. It should be made obvious to the user which URL needs to be added in the Server field. Solution suggestion: The AddTaskRepository dialog should have a field like main mantis URL and a checkbox "use soap interface". If the checkbox is on then the connector should add "/api/soap/mantisconnect.php" to the URL and use the SOAP interface. | ||||

Can you please fill in the 'version' field with the version of the connector you're using? I'm also interested in knowing the version of Eclipse you're using and the version of MantisBT. The actions you took should have no effect, in current version we simply append '/api/soap/mantisconnect.php' to the location you enter in the task repository settings dialog. |

Sorry for not adding the versions upfront: eclipse: Kepler, Build id: 20130614-0229 |

Do you have any error messages which you can add here? This really should not happen. |

Somehow, I'm in the same situation again although it worked just after I did set up the repo. When I right click on the mantis repo in Mylyn the commands "New Task", "New Query" "Open Repository Task" and "Synchronize All Tasks" are all greyed out. I'm also confused that the Mantis Repo is under the "Bugs" folder in the "Task Repositories" views. I'd have expected it under the "Tasks" folder. |

I attached my eclipse log (from workspace/.metadata/.log). There are a few "mantis" strings in there. I've had a task repository with the mantis.comsolit.net url, deleted it and created another with the soap path added. Today I removed the soap path from the url with might have caused the last exception in the log. |

This is a pretty old report, does it still happen with the latest version? |
