this is a great idea .. most of the times i have to update the bug just to assign it to a developer.

Probably want to add a config variable for the button name but otherwise I think this is fairly complete. The f_handler_id variable isn't validated, I didn't look hard enough to see if you generally check it.

If you are Using Mozilla this is a known problem on bugzilla, i heard in a actuall nightybuild this problem is fixed.

Following is what is now implemented in CVS:

• Assign to me is gone.
• There is Assign To: combo-box-of-developers instead.
• The lists include: Myself, Reporter, empty (for unassigning), and then the list of developers.

Will be included in next release.
