I've recently also got a request to support the same from a MantisHub user. The request was as follows:

  • Filter on interesting issues on View Issues page.
  • Export Issue History to Excel/CSV for all issues matching filter.
  • User can then do some analysis like first response, time from reporting to resolution, etc.

So basically the scope was N issues and it was to do work that may be partially supported by our reporting.

@boy1khz, can you please share more details about your scenario / need? Do you need an export for a single issue or multiple issues?

I'm wondering whether the approach should export or enhance our reporting? Though from experience so far it seems that even if we do a great job with reporting, there will always be the 20% or the customer specific cases that are not covered and hence users like csv/excel.

I also often recommend the API for such scenarios, but there seems that barrier to entry for Excel / CSV is lower :)

Issue History will be needed to make "response time" table each issue reported.

Eg. Date submitted : 2015-12-09 05:13
Date Feedback : 2015-12-14 22:14
Response Time : 5 days 17 hour 1 minute

This data is necessary to create a report for customer to show how fast/focus the team to follow up the issues.
