Description

When reporting an issue, navigation goes to View issue page once issue is submitted. A more appropriate navigation would be to show the View issue detail of the newly submitted issue.

When reporting an issue, navigation goes to View issue page once issue is submitted.

Not complete true.
At first you get a Operation successful message with two buttons where you can click on the first View submitted issue button to show the View issue detail of the newly submitted issue.

If you don't click a button, the system will wait a configurable number of seconds (Option Redirect Delay on user preferences page) and redirect to the View Issues page.

thanks for the information on the redirect delay. sometimes I blink and miss it and then I don't even know the issue ID to go back in and find it. I usually go back to My View and see what's been reported by me.
It does work as is but I'm just not sure of the benefit of the existing navigation. Either I'm going to want to go straight into the issue I just created to populate more of the fields or assign (most likely) or somewhere else (not necessarily the view issue page, could equally be another project or my view etc).
We've had this feedback from other users as well so thought I would pass it on.
