Summary0002661: Clone bugs to other projects.
Description

Normally we define the Projects you work on as a major version release (3.1 or 3.2) and define the versions inside these Projects as the deliveries for the Project (3.1.2 or 3.2_patch_1). As time passes by we will get in the versions tree for the same product, several major versions that are currently active. Some errors introduced in one Project may also apply to other Projects.

Additional Information

I've placed a Patch entitled "Clone Bugs" in the Patch forum that covers this situation. This patch introduces the possibility to Clone the bug information to another projects creating a link in the "Cloned from ID" fields for the original Bug.

I like the idea, other cases that might make use of such feature is if there are projects that share some modules. In this case, it would be good to be able to clone the bugs that are not specific to a project's environment.
