Summary | 0030147: It should be possible to give reporter permission to edit own reports
Description | After having used MantisBT in production for almost a month (love it!), I was a bit surprised to find out today that the reporter cannot edit his or her own report and there is no possibility to give such a permission. It seems to be an all-or-nothing permission that is either given for all issues or none. In my understanding, a workaround is possible by setting the rule that reporters can only see their own issues in which case it's fine to give them the project global edit permission. But this is not helpful in my situation. It would be nice if we had the option to give a reporter the opportunity to go back and edit their own issue. Personally, I'd even go a step further in making a permission that has further dependencies. While an issue is being discussed (i.e. while the status is one of new, feedback, or acknowledged), the reporter should have the possibility to correct his issue description. But after the status has been set to confirmed, which usually means that someone is going to work on it, changes should no longer be possible.
Additional Information | Apologies in advance if this is a duplicate - I found quite old entries with the same topic in the discussion forum but none in the bug tracker.
