Summary0003099: bug_view_page fails to show the effective project
Description

The visualization of the bug fails to show the effective project name under which the bug is filed.

This happens for example when browsing all the bugs under "Any project": selecting a single bug does not update the window title nor the page title, and it still reports previously selected project.

Strangely, the "printable" version of the page emits the correct project name.

Additional Information

This may be a problem with helper_{get|set}_current_project, who are responsible of managing that information.

This is with 0.18a4 version of Mantis.

This is "correct" behaviour at the moment. The project title at the top is showing the currently selected project which affects what bugs are shown in All Bugs, what news is shown, etc.

If we change the current project when you go to view a bug then when you go back to View All you will be seeing only bugs for that project instead of bugs for All Projects which is what you were looking at before. This is confusing.

The solution at some point will be to remove the "current project" functionality altogether and just make it part of the bug filter. We are making progress on this (in fact, having the view bug page ignore it is one of the first steps) but we're not there yet. In the meantime, this behaviour is the lesser of two evils.

Uhm, I see. Then I think there should a place in the header of the bug on that page for the actual project name. Maybe the "Category" field could carry that info, evenif I'd prefer a new standalone slot, placed between "ID" and "Category".
