Summary | 0003775: Custom fields local to a project should be editable by project manager
Description | Mantis allows the administrator or users with a specific access level (see 0003774) to manage all custom fields. It would be useful to allow project managers (or a configurable access level) to manage their custom fields. For example: We use mantis for software which consists of three parts. For each part a version is realized via custom fields. So I (the administrator) has to edit these custom fields in case new versions are shipped (which increases my support for project managers).

Can I suggest that we maybe make it possible for managers to create their own custom fields, as well, that are only accessible to that project? This would make it easier for admins who have different projects wanting different custom fields made available, as well as remove the situation where managers of project X are able to add custom fields generated specifically for project Y (embarassing if X and Y didn't know about each other!) |
