| Summary | 0006950: Upgrade of Memory. | ||||
| Description | Dear All, As my mantis is running very very slow. When I have checked on the server only 4 MB memory is free to use. So I am planning to upgrade the memory from 256 MB to 1 GB. Please advise if some thing else we can tune in the mantis/Mysql or in the Linux side. I have about 40-60 active users. With Regards. Harpreet Singh | ||||

The memory upgrade should make a big difference. I'm assuming that you have the MySQL server and the webserver on the same machine, right? I think there is a way to refresh or rebuild indices in MySQL, sometimes this improves performance. |

Dear All, After upgrading the memory it works fine. Now again I am facing slowness while retrieving / assigning the bugs. If I search bug by bug ID it is very fast. But If I search from all Projects then it is taking hell of time. And found the system resource are hitting the server. Example procs memory swap io system cpu Once the out put came the server will be normal. This sure the data and number of users are increasing. Not sure if some one can help me to do the fine tune of Mysql or Mantis or PHP. With Regards. Harpreet Singh |

Harpreet, THe latest versions of mantis fix a couple of memory/performance issues. Can you let us know if your still having these issues on the latest releases. Paul Thank you for taking the time to report a problem with mantis. Since this problem report was originally made, a number of releases have occured. Additionally no recent feedback has been received on this issue. Unfortunately you are not using the latest version and the problem might already be fixed. Please download the latest release from http://www.mantisbt.org/download.php [^] [^] If you are able to reproduce this bug in the current release, or have some more information on how this feature could be improved in the current release. Please either change the mantis version on this bug report Again, thank you for your continued support and report. |
