Summary | 0007752: User groups
Description | It would be great help to have possibility to greate user groups. E.g. Developers (multiple), project or sub-project related groups (multiple), sub-contractor related groups (multiple) etc. User can (and many cases is) be a member of multiple groups. Groups should also belong to groups (hierarchical categorisation would be possible in corporate environments when there are many users from different departments or companies). In addition to have user groups these should be available e.g. in project management where users are assigned to the project. Instead of selecting individual users per project one could select user group.

this will be a great feature! |

Yes, I'd like to see user groups as well. Not necessarily as complete as in this wish, I'd settle for a simpler way: flat group structure, each user belongs to a group, not project-specific, you can assign a bug to a group as well, each group member gets notified. That's it, I wouldn't need more. |

This would be great. There should also be used for reporters, so all reporters could see bugs reported in theyr group even if the issues were marked as private (optionally of course) - this is specially useful if you have a project with many clients (each client with a number of users) and you dont want the clients to see each other issues. |

We would need this feature much too! |
