Because if for v 3.3 we have 50 issues in roadmap, and 40 is fixed,
it is very hard to see not fixed issues in the forest of ------issues-----------

The roadmap is sorted in a way where issues that are resolve appear at the end. Checkout the Roadmap of this bug tracker. Doesn't this fix what you need?

It may still be useful to have a mode to hide resolved issues, but I just want to understand if sorting works.

YES, after I have report this issue, I have realize that YES - sorting presents.
and I still agree -- checkbox can be fine.

Although if take a look on my suggestion about parent/child nodes improvements with progress field (see please 0008270) then its hard to see how will look tree with
parent/childs + progress + hidden nodes.

If choose between HIDDEN and PROGRESS feature, I vote for PROGRESS field by 10 hands! :-)

As you can see on attached picture, if we use Parent/Child issues then sorted just cannot work.
and we get small mess.

So option HIDE resolved issues, really can be helpful.

isn't that way of presenting the rodamap controlled by a configuration parameter?

if not, IMHO that is the bug...

and no, I don't think "hide resolved issues" is the correct answer to your problem, becasue the whole point of the roadmap is to see what you've done vs what is left to be done. What you want to see is better achieved by a filter

I think this issue can be closed.
its okay to have resolved issues AT THE END of group.
