Summary | 0008940: Some resolutions shouldn't be available when status is set to Closed
Description | It does not make sense to have the resolutions Open (!) and Fixed available on the "second page" when you change the status for a report to Closed. As far as I understand it, the status Closed should be used for reports that in some way are invalid. Furthermore, Open, Reopened, Unable to reproduce, Not fixable, Duplicate, No change required, Suspended, Won't fix are not sensible resolutions when a report's status is set to Resolved. Again, as far as I understand it the developer sets the resolution to Fixed after fixing whatever the problem was. The tester then (re)tests the issue and if the test is successful sets the status to Resolved (and leave the resolution as is, that is, set to Fixed). Of course, this is configuration issue, and I am talking about the default configuration. I understand that other people might have different needs but IMO the typical setup should be more restrictive than it is today.
