| Summary | 0009305: Update from 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 caused email notifications to stop | ||||
| Description | After updating Mantis 1.1.1 to 1.1.2 we stopped receiving email notifications. The config_inc.php files we are using are not changed. Since nothing on the mail server changed, and the config file is the same, it seems that Mantis is no longer generating email notices for many (all) events it used to. | ||||

Rolling back to 1.1.1 "fixed" the issue. Anything different about the way g_smtp_password is parsed or sent or stored? |

What notifications are missing? Is it just the notifications for new issues? Or all notifications (e.g. for developers, reporters, note authors, when an issue is updated?) What is the setting for the following configuration option in config_inc.php or config_defaults_inc.php: $g_notify_flags['new'] = array('reporter' => ON, 'handler' => ON, 'threshold_min' => MANAGER, 'threshold_max' => ADMINISTRATOR); |

New issues, edit issues, add notes are missing. I am guessing that they all are. The defaults are being used for notification levels - $g_notify_flags is not set in my config_inc.php. A quick diff showed no changes to that or related settings in the config files between 1.1.1 and 1.1.2. I am using SMTP: $g_phpMailer_method = 2; I attempted to upload to my installation only files that changed (a fairly long list). It is not inconceivable that I missed one. Though, of course, I tried to be very careful about it. |

Yes, I think this could be the same as 0009309; motobass, can you confirm that your're missing just bugnote notifications and/or that the applied patch fixes this issue? |

I have applied 'correct_bugnote_api.php.patch' and we are getting email again. Thanks for the quick turnaround. I was getting email on new issues. |
