| Summary | 0009931: how to pay for a sponsorship completed | ||||
| Description | this may obvious to some but I haven't found it... I cannot find where to pay for the sponsored bug. Way back in 2006 I offered to sponsor a bug report. Today, I visited my account record and noticed this has been fixed. I have made a donation via the main page but there wasn't an option to let you know the money was intended for the unpaid sponsorship. Now I will check the records to see if I paid before. I don't care if I did, the project is worth far more than I have donated, but I do like the idea of my account showing I was good on my promise. | ||||

This is an interesting question. Since I'm around this project I wondered if/how the sponsorship stuff was handled. Maybe Victor can clear this. |

Well I can send an email via the "contact us" page but that didn't jump right out me and I only became aware of the option after researching a different issue. BTW, the bug I refer to is 0006632, which was assigned to you, giallu. I paid US$10 via paypal the same day I posted this issue. |

I actually thought that it was just a voting system.. That the dollars were just symbols of urgency.. But you know, you guys do deserve donations for the great work that you do. I am a little dry until next friday but will be happy to pay jreese the 20 bucks I posted. |

@tmatijas: it could very well be the case. I'm just saying that since I'm around the project I never actually seen an official statement about how sponsorships are used. as a side note, if we want to really collect doantion to sustain the project, we can consider using the pledgie ( http://pledgie.com/ ) project |
