Hi,
Mantis is a great tool, thanks! I have some questions I would appreciate some help with:
i) Is there an easy way to store attachments in svn?
ii) Are there any show-stoppers in 1.1.0rc3?
iii) I have triggered commit messages from svn to mantis but I wasn't keen on information being appended as comments in issues. Comments are for people! I would prefer live access and pull info from svn on request.
e.g.
Have a collapsed box which when clicked will query and display commits for this issue:
Collapsed:
[+]
Viewed (will query)
[-]
1/1/7 567 $/myproject/myfile.c
1/2/7 568 $/myproject/myfile.c
Does this sound viable performance wise etc.?
Am I reinventing the wheel?
Is it possible in straight php?
If not what would be the better approach?
thanks for your time!

Great that you like itMantis is a great tool, thanks!
No, you will have to implement that. Mantis supports DISK, DATABASE, and FTP. The current recommended approach is DISK. Why do you think SVN is useful compared to disk? I mean given that attachments never change once they are added.i) Is there an easy way to store attachments in svn?
It is recommended to use Mantis 1.1.1.ii) Are there any show-stoppers in 1.1.0rc3?
Given that the description of a commit never changes, why don't you want it added? Do you want to save the overhead of storing the comment? Or do you consider that it pollutes the other comments? I see both options are fine. So far we have been doing the push into Mantis model, we haven't done the pull from SVN model. Contributions are welcome. I think your approach can work fine where a developer supplies an SVN checkin version as part of resolving an issue.iii) I have triggered commit messages from svn to mantis but I wasn't keen on information being appended as comments in issues.
