Hi Kyle,

We won't be resolving validation errors in the 1.2.x branch because the changes required are too drastic for a stable branch.

There has been a fair bit of work towards upgrading the 1.3.x development branch so that MantisBT outputs XHTML strict compliant pages. Please see my blog post at http://www.mantisbt.org/blog/?p=129 for some background information and bug 0012545 for progress tracking, submission of patches, comments, questions, etc.
